KARACHI: Collectorate of Customs Port Qasim has witnessed record revenue collection in six months, ARY News reported on Tuesday.
Port Qasim sources said within the last six months 89 billion rupees customs duty has been submitted to the public exchequer, which is more than 25 percent of the revenue earned in 2017. This earning is big chunk of the Federal Board of Revenue’s taxation, they added.
Port Qasim’s sales tax revenue also saw seven percent spike in comparison to the last year’s earning.
Earlier, Port Qasim collected Rs15 billions customs duty in November 2018, which shows remarkable 18.64% growth against collection of Rs12.71 billions in the corresponding month of last year.
