President Mamnoon gets driving license

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has now gotten his driving license enabling him to drive freely in Islamabad.

He had applied for the license a day ago at the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) office.

Mamnoon’s previous licence from Karachi had expired and was renewed from Islamabad as per law after an NOC was issued by the Karachi Traffic Police that there were no pending tickets or challans against him.

Islamabad IG Tariq Masood Yasin and SSP Malik Matloob Ahmed were there to receive him at the ITP office.

Mamnoon was issued a token, 0441, and went through the procedure required for getting the driving licence.

On this occasion, the IG Islamabad briefed the president about the working of the ITP office and the steps that were being taken to facilitate the general public.

The president praised the professionalism, integrity and public friendly service of the ITP which had eased the procedure for common citizens to obtain driving license.

The president also appreciated that all necessary facilities had been provided to the applicants under one roof.
