ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has rejected the decision made by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) to suspend the license of Geo News for 15 days, ARY News reports on Friday.
In a statement, Additional Secretary General of PTI Saifullah Khan Niazi said that suspending the license of Geo News for 15 days is like making fun of the nation.
“PEMRA has proved itself as the media cell of the federal government by making such a decision. The government and Geo are supporting each other”, Niazi said.
He also said that the government does not respect the state institutions nor it has any concerns over the sentiments of the nation.
