A medical team constituted by the Sindh government to conduct medical checkup of Pervez Musharraf had submitted its report to the court. The report said that the former president is suffering from backache, neurological and cardiac problems.

Director General Health Balochistan, Dr Farooq Azam presented the report on the health of Musharraf to the ATC judge, Aftab Ahmed Lone.

Nawab Akbar Bugti was murdered in an operation in remote mountainous region of Balochistan on Aug 26, 2006.

Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, the son of Nawab Akbar Bugti had nominated Musharraf, former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and others in the murder of his father.

Bugti’s lawyer while talking to reporters said the medical report will be challenged in court.

Former interior minister, Aftab Ahmed Sherpao and former home minister of Balochistan, Mir Shoaib Nowsherwani, two accused in the case, also appeared before the court.

The ATC judge rejected the applications of both ministers for permanent exemptions from appearance in the case. Sherpao told the media outside the court that he will challenge the court order in high court.

The next hearing of the case will be held on April 22.
