The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:
i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 15,441.4
ii) Net foreign reserves held by banks: US$ 5,009.5
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 20,450.9 million
During the week ending December 04, SBP’s liquid FX reserves increased by US$654 million to US$15,441 million, compared to US$14,787 million in the previous week.
The SBP received US$ 918 million from multilateral, bilateral and other official sources, which include US$ 500 million received from World Bank and US$400 million received from Asian Development Bank.
During this period, SBP made payments of US$270 million on account of external debt servicing.
