AWARAN: Four terrorists were killed and number of their hideouts destroyed in a search operation by security forces in Awaran area of Balochistan under military operation ‘Radd-ul-Fasaad’ on Saturday, ARY News reported.
According to Inter-Services Public Relation (ISPR), the operation was carried out in mountainous area of Sarghar in Awaran district.
The security forces also arrested two terrorists during the operation. However, no details pertaining to identification of the suspects were shared.
Heavy cache of arms and ammunition besides communication equipment were also seized during the operation.
Separately, the security forces foiled a major terror plot in Quetta by recovering buried underground weapon in Gahi Khan Chowk area of the capital city. The weapon was to be used in a terror plot.
The weapons include two riffles, 22 RPJ7 bullets, five locally prepared IEDs, one RPJ7, and 503 grenades.
