According to Times of India, India has granted visas to the Pakistan SIT members for seven days. However, the decision to finalise the dates for their visit to India has been left with the Indian high commissioner in Pakistan and external affairs ministry.
The officials said they expect the SIT to visit in the last week of this month but a formal confirmation from Islamabad is awaited.
The visa permission to the SIT, according to the officials, was first given by the high commissioner in Islamabad. The high commissioner then conveyed the names of the SIT members to the home ministry, asking for further clearances.
