Initial report of Peshawar cinema attack finalized

PESHAWAR: The investigators have completed preliminary probe of Peshawar cinema attack on Tuesday, ARY News reports.

According to the investigation report, the attacker hurled the grenades while sitting in the cinema hall. 

The cinema attack, in which 13 persons were killed, was claimed by Jundullah banned outfit.

The first grenade was hurled from the back seats in the mini hall of Shama Cinema. The first bomb caused a stampede in the hall, after which second and third grenades were hurled, report said. 

The grenades fall over the heads of the  people and caused maximum casualties. 

An outlawed militant group Jundullah has claimed responsibility of the attack. 

Shama Cinema in Peshawar was attacked twice earlier, including a bid to set the cinema building on fire.   
In Tueday's grenade attack in a cinema of Peshawar at least 12 persons were killed and at least 22 persons were injured. 

Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar, provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has a history of massive terrorist attacks with huge losses of life including military and civilians. 

Northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan has witnessed countless militant attacks in past several years.

The militants waging a bloody war against Pakistani state, routinely target police and security forces.
