According to details, CM Qaim Ali Shah today presided an important meeting of the Sindh Cabinet to review Muharram security, law and order and other affairs.
Briefing the meeting, IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali said police have arrested two suspected hitmen involved in attack on Rasheed Godil, who also made some shocking revelations during interrogation.
He, however, requested for an in-camera meeting of the cabinet to discuss the revelations made by the perpetrators.
Jamali told that terrorism related incidents have decreased in Sindh by 80 per cent, while kidnappings for ransom reduced by 98 per cent.
He added that the Pakistan Army, upon directives by Army Chief Gen Raheel Sharif, has provided 500 bullet-proof vests to Sindh Police, at which the provincial cabinet expressed gratitude to the COAS.
The meeting was further told that Sindh Police has purchased eight drone cameras, which will be used for surveillance of Muharram processions.
