A speedy car travelling from Qazi Ahmed to Nawabshah went out of the control of the driver and fell in Rohri Canal at Nawabshah link road, police and rescue workers said.
The rescue teams, after one hour’s struggle retrieved the car from the canal along with two dead bodies.
The deceased have been identified as former district general secretary Nawabshah Imdad Ali Dhamra and Arshad Ali Arain.
The dead bodies have been transferred to People’s Medical University Hospital Nawabshah for autopsy.
The remains will be handed over to the families after completion of the formalities.
