KARACHI: Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain said those entangling Musharraf in a treason case were themselves guilty of violating Article-6 of the Constitution, ARY News reported Saturday.
Addressing an inauguration ceremony of Nazeer Hussain University (NHU), MQM chief, while referring those who entangled Musharraf in a case, asked why they don’t talk about imposing Article-6 who forcefully removed Nawaz Sharif from power in 1999.
He said those criticising army could not be honest and sincere people.
“Some of the people holding dual nationalities are disqualified while some are enjoying,” he added.
He also hinted to return to Pakistan after 22 years. “I have applied for renewal of passport and national identity card. Pakistan is my country and I can come there any time,” he told the gathering.
The MQM chief reiterated that he did not ever talk about division of Sindh.
He said there should be a uniformed education system across the country to treat all people in the same manner.
