According to details, Secretary Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Tariq Mahmood launched a crackdown against public transporters who are overcharging their customers despite the recent cut in petroleum prices.
RTA official collectively fined seven vehicles while three vehicles were also seized.
It should be noted that the government had reduced prices of petroleum oil and lubricants (POL) up to Rs 8 per liter in view of slump in oil prices in the international market.
