Rafique also lashed out at the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and warned them from crossing the red line. He said that Bilawal Bhutto should look back into the past before speaking about corruption.
He said that Asif Zardari was more far-sighted and should take control of the situation. He said that those had even embezzled into the funds of Haj pilgrims were now demanding accountability from them.
Rafique did not miss the opportunity to criticise Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan. He said that those were staging sit-ins and blocking roads were not the friends of the country. He said that Imran Khan should concentrate on eradicating rats and polio from Khyber Pakhtukhwa.
He said that they are ready to speak with those who wish to move forward, and not those who only criticised them for the sake of it.
In response, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that accountability should held for all people who were mentioned in the Panama Papers. PTI spokes Naeem-ul-Haq was of the opinion that people like Khawaja Saad Rafique should not be in the ToR committee.
Earlier, Rafique arrived in Nankana Sahib for the inauguration ceremony of a model train station but left without doing either due to negligence or mismanagement of the organisers.
