KARACHI: The Rangers and Police have stepped up crackdown against criminals in Karachi and killed three accused in encounters, ARY News reported on Saturday.
The Rangers and Police on a cue conducted raid in Baghdadi area of Lyari in late Friday night and killed an accused in exchange of fire, sources said.
The accused identified as Sameer Baloch said to be linked with the gang war in Lyari.
In another encounter, police killed a dacoit at Super Highway near Sohrab Goth.
The two accomplices of the slain accused managed to escape from the scene.
An outlaw identified as Siddique commando, was killed in a shootout near Landhi Labor Square. Grenades and other ammunition found from his possession. The accused was said to be involved in murder and kidnapping for ransom.
