LAHORE: A person was burned to death when fire engulfed a truck at Lahore’s Guru Mangat road on Sunday night.
According to rescue sources, the fire erupted in the truck parked outside an industrial unit at the Guru Mangat road.
As a result, a person who was sleeping inside the vehicle was burnt alive, said a recue official.
He said firefighters immediately arrived at the spot and put out the blaze, adding that the cause of the fire and identity of the victim couldn’t be ascertained immediately.
On Sunday, a young girl was burnt to death while a person sustained burn wounds when fire broke out in a house in the provincial capital.
According to rescue sources, the fire engulfed the house located in Akram Park, Islampura area of Lahore.
Rescue teams and firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the blaze after efforts of more than an hour.
