Grandson of PPP’s founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Bilawal was born in the Bhutto family – a known family tree in Pakistan’s politics – on September 21, 1988.
He is the son of slain PPP leader Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari.
When the PPP present chairman was just three-month-old, Benazir Bhutto became the first ever woman prime minister of Pakistan and the Muslim world.
Bilawal witnessed several difficulties during the political career of her mother.
When he just started his early education in Pakistan, Bilawal had to move abroad along with his family to continue their lives in exile.
Asif Ali Zardari named Bilawal as PPP Chairman following Benazir Bhutto’s assassination in Rawalpindi upon her return to the country after self-exile in 2007.
Here’s how Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s family and well-wishers wished on Twitter.
Happy birthday to my son @BBhuttoZardari you make me and your mother proud every single day. Love you -AZ
