Nawaz, Bilawal also had a political discussion: Maryam

LAHORE: Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Tuesday that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inquired after the health of former premier, but the two leaders had a political discourse, ARY News reported.

Speaking to media after meeting her father at the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said she thanked Bilawal for his gesture and was still grateful as he came to inquire after the health of Mian Nawaz Sharif. She added that she didn’t have much information about the discussion two leaders had during the meeting.

She informed that condition of Nawaz Sharif wasn’t better. “I had also brought along personal doctor of Sharif so he could also examine his health.”

Maryam said the former premier was suffering from blood pressure due to stress. He complained of angina throughout the night, she added.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister’s Special Aide on Political Affairs Naeemul Haq on Tuesday said Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s meeting with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had a political agenda.

Haq was talking to journalists in Islamabad, here today.

He maintained that the PPP and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had extended cooperation with each other in present scenario.

Calling illness of Nawaz Sharif, a separate matter, the PM’s special aide said the motive behind the meeting was a political one.
