During the meeting, Additional IG Traffic informed all that ever since Sindh Home Minister gave permission, practical steps and documentation was underway for the opening up of different driving license issuing branches across the city.
He also revealed that with this regard, during the initial phase, different driving license branches would be established at four selected locations across the city.
IG Sindh also issued directives during the meeting that comprehensive recommendations, based on practicality, should be sent for approval.
According to the DI Traffic the general quantity of cars in the city was around thirty-eight lacs and that on a daily basis, there was an additional increase by nine hundred and three private vehicles.
Additional IG Traffic Khadim Hussain Bhatti, DIG Traffic Ameer Sheikh, DIG Driving License Branch Dr Aftab Pathan, DIG Headquarters Sindh Abdul Aleem Jaffrey, AIG Operations Sindh and other senior police officials attended the meeting.
