TOP NEWS

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan has said that the protest on December 22 will be historical and if the Punjab Government tries to obstruct it then it will be responsible itself for the consequences – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference at his residence here on Saturday, Imran Khan said that the honey-moon period of the Government is over, now PTI will demonstrate by raising the voice of the people.

He said that Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Syed Munawwar Hassan, Awami Muslim League (AML) Head, Sheikh Rasheed and representatives of the civil society will take part in the PTI organized protest against increasing inflation in the country.

Speaking about the hearing of the case in the Supreme Court (SC) pertaining to recount of votes on the basis of thumb prints, the PTI Chairman said that he will himself go to the court along with other PTI MNAs.

He said that he expects justice to be done and added that the Punjab Government is afraid of the recount inquiring that why does PMLN members go to the High Court instead of consulting the concerned election tribunal.

Khan claimed that if the verification of thumb-prints is carried out in 4 constituencies then a historical rigging will be exposed.

Commenting on JI official, Abdul Qadir Mulla’s execution in Bangladesh, the PTI Chairman said that the Bangladeshi Government should have followed the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, taking action against someone after such a long time is something beyond logic.
