In a statement, Rangers spokesperson said MQM sector in-charges and unit in-charges were being arrested for their hand in organization militant wings.
He said some elements within the MQM had also surrendered themselves.
Those arrested are being provided all chances to pursue legal ways to defend themselves, he added.

Meanwhile, MQM said the statement by the Rangers is an open admission that Karachi operation is targeted specifically against the MQM.
The party said its workers were being arrested under an organized plan.
The Coordination Committee said Tanzeemi Committee mentioned by the rangers has no existence at all as the body has long been dissolved.
