Speaking in the Senate, Mushahidullah Khan subjected Pakistan Peoples Party- led provincial government to severe criticism.
“Wifaaq halat-e-jang me hai aur Sindh hukumat halat-e-bhang me hai,” were exactly the words uttered by the PML-N lawmaker, which fumed the opposition members.
Members of the opposition also reacted to the statement leading to a chaos in the House.
Angry members later walked out of the Senate in protest. At this, Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique had to intervene to quell opposition’s ire.
Senator Mushahidullah apologized and said he withdraws his words, after which the statement was omitted from house proceedings.
