ISLAMABAD: Terming the activities of Joint Investigation Team  (JIT)  which probed the allegations of financial impropriety against the Sharif family as ‘puppet show’, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry on Monday said that the investigation team must be punished, ARY News reported.

“If this JIT will not be punished for its sins by relevant institutions than the public JIT will punish it,” said Talal Chaudhry while speaking to media in the capital.

He further claimed that the Nawaz Sharif is being punished for launching the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Project (CPEC), adding that the first Dharna (sit-in) by rival political party Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)  was organized to stop the launch of CPEC, then came Dharna 2 and now this (the JIT’s report) is the first part of Dharna Three and the second part will be staged in the days to come.

“This is the same old script and I recommend the writer to come with a new script. This puppet show is the same with some added puppets and now the producers of the show must be brought before the public eye,” said Talal Chaudhry.

VOLUME 10 should be disclosed

Commenting on the development, another PML-N leader Daniyal Aziz maintained that the “actual case” was not heard and termed the submission of report as “dead on arrival”

“When the report was finally submitted, the head of the JIT demanded from the court to declare the volume 10 of the report as secret, as it has legal sections, why? we even want the recording of the proceedings to be made public,” said Daniyal Aziz.

He said that people of Pakistan know that what is going on behind the scene.
