The law enforcement agencies conducted a raid at Fahad Garden in Block 13-D of Gulshan Iqbal and initiated a search operation, a spokesman of paramilitary Rangers said in a statement.
“The terrorists hiding at the second floor of the building opened fire over the law enforcement personnel killing an intelligence official.”
“In retaliatory fire of the security men an Al-Qaida commander was killed along with an accomplice,” statement further said. The slain terrorists were identified as Abdul Ahad and Mohammad Saleh.
The law enforcement personnel also detained two women from the flat during search.
Large quantity of arms and munitions and banned litterature also recovered from the house.
According to initial investigations a man Anwar owned the premises, which was being used by the terrorists as their hideout.
