The prime minister’s assistant Fatemi has said that peace and reconciliation process in Afghanistan has been affected due to drone attack by the United States, which claimed the life of Taliban’s ex-supremo Mullah Akhtar Mansour.
He termed the drone attack as violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty. The special assistant said that talks are the only way to ensure peace in the country.
Commenting on India’s bid for inclusion in the Nuclear Suppliers Group, he stated that the objectives of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) cannot be rejected with discriminatory approach with regard to the NPT.
“NSG was created in reaction to the Indian nuclear tests, now offering NSG membership to India would give a negative signal on the nuclear non-proliferation,” he said.
