Sri Lanka’s former wicket-keeper batsman Kumar Sangakara has named his All Time ideal XI comprising some top class cricketers from across the World.

Sangakara in a video shared by Lord’s cricket ground YouTube page, named Mathew Hayden and Rahul Dravid as an openers for his his all time cricketing XI.

“I will have Mathew Hayden at the top of the order facing the first ball and to compliment him i have got Rahul Dravid,” 40-year-old said.

He kept Former West Indian Test batsman Brian Lara and Australian Ex Test captain Ricky Ponting at number four and five respectively.

“Brian Lara is my all time favorite batsman and I think he is a perfect candidate for number three,”

The left-hander had a little bit confusion between Aravinda De Silva and Mahela Jawerdena both from Srilanka, for crucial fifth slot.

“Toss up between Aravinda and Mahela, I wish i could have both but i will go for Aravinda because me and Mahela both admire him as one of the best Sri Lankan batsman we have seen,” said Sangakara.

He went for Jaque Kallis at number six and Adam Gilchrist as a glove man for his team.

The former Sri Lankan middle order batsman, filled his team’s spin department with world’s two top class leggy, Shane Warne (Australia) and Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri Lanka).

“I don’t think that spin bowling has any identity with out these two, they both were the match winning bowlers at any condition around the World,

“I have never seen the spinners like them,” Sangakara acknowledged.

Sangakara chosen Pakistan’s great Wasim Akram as the left-arm pacer for his idealized XI.

“He was a man with great skills, ability to bowl brilliantly with both the old and a new ball,

“Always difficult to face him as far as i have heard from the batsmen around the world who played his deliveries,”

He filled his team’s last spot with former Sri Lankan left arm pace-ace Chaminda Vaas.

“There was a problem with my team’s final spot choosing between Chaminda and McGrath and i will go with another Sri Lankan,”
