A teacher who wrote ‘absolutely pathetic’ on a second-grade student’s maths test is facing calls to be fired.

“Absolutely pathetic he answered 13 in 3 min! Sad,’ the teacher had written on a test while making a sad face.

The incident, which happened in Pennsylvania state of US, came to light after the student’s father started a petition calling for teacher to be fired from the school.

The student’s father Chris Piland first posted a photo of his son Kamdyn’s math test on Facebook and slammed the teacher for comments.

The teacher, identified as Alyssa Rupp Bohenek, had written the remarks across the top of the boy’s test with a red pen in the test where the student was asked to answer  as many as they can in three minutes out of 60 subtraction problems.

The man’s post gained attraction on Facebook and a petition soon started circulating called for the Valley View School District to fire the maths teacher.

The student’s father also started a petition on Change.org which is being signed by hundreds of people.
