In a meeting with the deputy head of mission Saudi Arabia Embassy in Islamabad, Jassim Mohammad Khalid Al-Khaldi, the finance minister said the government had decided to accept foreign aid only after assessment of floods-inflicted damages by United Nations and other credible social welfare organizations.
He said the government had constituted a committee for fair assistance to flood victims. The most areas affected by floods fall in Punjab, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan, he added.
The Saudi envoy expressed sorrow over losses in the wake of floods and vowed to extend all possible assistance to Pakistan.
