Addressing workers through telephonic speech from London at MQM’s 31st Youm-e-Tasees, he said he had no objection to Rangers at Nine Zero, but the action should have been conducted within legal parameters.
The law enforcers should have carried search warrants and magistrates to provide legal cover to their action when they barged into Nine Zero, said Mr Hussain.
He said even a gardener of Nine Zero was under detention of Rangers. I do not want any face-off with the army, he mentioned.
He appealed to workers: “Don’t end this Tehreek (movement) if I am killed.”
Mr. Hussain said he should not be seen as a traitor. Pakistan is safe only because of army, he added.
He asked why Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan was silent at the raid of Nine Zero. The MQM chief said he did not give any threats to any one.
Without naming PTI chief Imran Khan, he said a man who called Taliban his brothers is delivering speeches day and night.
Zahra Shahid was murdered in Karachi and within two minutes after the murder, I was blamed for the killing, he lamented.
He regretted that law in Pakistan is only applicable on the poor. MQM is the party which is utterly against status quo, he added.
He recalled that Defence Minister Khwaja Asif had subjected Rangers to intense criticism in the parliament.
He said women were under suppression in Punjab.
