According to details, the Chief Minister of Delhi will attend the Karachi Literature Festival 2017, which is scheduled to take place next year. According to an Indian website, Kejriwal said:-
“I will definitely come there to attend the event. We will learn from each other,” he said.
The founder as well as organiser of the Karachi Literature Festival Ameena Sayeed was also elated at the news and hoped Pakistanis could learn from the Indian Chief Minister.
“He (Arvind Kejriwal) is working towards creativity and upliftment and we hope to learn from him,” she said.
The Karachi Literature Festival 2016 was held this year in February last month and was a success. The event was attended by keynote Indian speakers which also included Barkha Dutt. Controversy ensued when Bollywood actor Anupam Kher claimed he was denied visa by the Pakistani authorities for the literary event.
The Pakistani authorities had, on the other hand, claimed that Kher hadn’t applied for a visa.
