CM Punjab announces to provide 100,000 ‘Orange Cabs’

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday announced to launch the “Orange Cab” scheme in the province to enhance employment opportunities.

The chief minster, while addressing a high level meeting, also reviewed recommendations regarding inauguration of Orange Cab Scheme and digital system of payments.

CM Punjab said 100,000 Orange Cabs will be distributed among the unemployed youth. “Orange Cab Scheme will be launched this year. As per the scheme, one lakh cars will be given to unemployed youth,” said Shahbaz Sharif.

He also directed to present recommendations for the improvement of small and medium enterprises. He said Punjab government has improved the culture of e-governance and transparency.

The Punjab government will form a cabinet committee to formulate suggestions regarding the launch of Orange Cab scheme. He said that government gave 50,000 cars to unemployed youth under Apna Rozgar scheme.
