ISLAMABAD: Raising his concern on special protocol to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan during his visit to Parachinar, Daniyal Aziz, a ruling party leader, on Monday said it’s deplorable that a proclaimed offender getting official protocol, ARY News reported.
Talking to media men outside Anti-Terrorism Court, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader claimed that the court has declared Imran Khan as a proclaimed offender for tax evasion and concealing the assets.
He lamented that it apparently seemed all morality and constitutional laws are enforceable against one family. “The one who does not respect and accede to any law is exempted from all obligations,” Aziz remarked.
He said that the PML-N respects constitution of the country and believes in supremacy of the law.
Yesterday, Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) announced to resume hearing of disqualification case against Imran Khan on July 11 while notices were also issued to the litigants.
Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar will lead the three-member bench hearing the case against PTI chief.
The hearing was adjourned on June 14 until after Eid-ul-Fitr vacation over Naeem Bukhari and bench’s unavailability. Hanif Abbasi, leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had petitioned the top court alleging Khan of having concealed his assets to evade tax, misrepresent the facts and obtain funds from prohibited means.
