LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday presided over a high-level meeting at 90-Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam today, ARY News reported.

According to a statement released from his office, the CM listened to the problems relating to Punjab Assembly members from Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore divisions and issued on-the-spot instructions for their solution.

Addressing the meeting, chief minister said that problems faced by the assembly members are his own adding that steps will be taken for their solution while liaison with assembly members will be continued on permanent basis.

Usman Buzdar said that he has personally noted demands and problems of the MPAs and told that implementation will be ensured along with feedback.

About the ongoing anti-encroachment operation in the province, Buzdar said that the operation is against influential and mighty land grabbers and not the underprivileged.

“I have directed the authorities that hapless people or daily wage earners should not be targeted in the operation,” said the CM.

The CM added that anti-encroachment committees have been established at the level of districts and these committees are empowered to take action in case of any complaint.

“Following the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) model, a minister will be deputed in every district to listen to assembly members’ problems and come up with a solution,” said Usman Buzdar.

The chief minister said that he will personally visit different areas to monitor the field situation and advice of the MPAs will be solicited for the constitution of different committees at district level.

Provincial ministers and assembly members congratulated Usman Buzdar on approval of the budget.

Senior minister Abdul Aleem Khan, provincial ministers, MPAs, IG police, SMBR, ACS and provincial secretaries attended the meeting.
