ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan said that a direct flight between Azerbaijan and Pakistan will start soon.
The discussion took place as Ambassador of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada and the minister met on Monday.
During the meeting, the two sides agreed for fostering mutual cooperation in the field of aviation.
Sarwar told the envoy that Pakistan and Azerbaijan share brotherly ties which stem from the mutual trust and respect.
Azerbaijan believes in further strengthening relations with Pakistan, the envoy said.

Earlier in March, Azerbaijan Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov had called on Chief of Army staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi.
According to the military’s media wing, matters of mutual interests, regional security, defence cooperation and other issues came under discussion in the meeting.
During the meeting, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov lauded Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability.
