RAWALPINDI: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor has advised Indian army chief to follow the vision of Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa for peace in the region, ARY News reported.
Quoting the Indian army chief’s statement in a TV interview, in which he said that he ‘followed’ Pakistan’s Army Chief, the Pakistan Army spokesperson said: ‘Even better would be if he follows General Bajwa’s vision for regional peace, stability and progress.’

Maj Gen Ghafoor said that for this, India would have to end enmity with Pakistan.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, on January 25, had said Pakistan Army was fully invested in peace and stability of the region.
“Pakistan Army is ready and resolute in defending the motherland against any misadventure,” the army chief said while talking to officers and men during a visit to exercise area near Jhelum.
He appreciated the operational training standard and high morale of the troops.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa exhorted troops to focus on training and professional pursuits as the strenuous training and highest standard of preparedness was the hallmark to deter any belligerence.
