Punjab govt believes in corruption-free institutions: minister

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government believed in upholding of law, strong democratic and corruption-free institutions.

According to a statement released from the ministry, Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari said that the current  government had a different approach towards good governance as compared to previous regimes.

He said that previous governments only committed nepotism and corruption in the name of good governance. The minister said that said education and health are the prioritized sectors of the current government.

 He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the country had earned major achievement both on internal and external fronts in a short span of time. The minister said that PTI government had taken significant initiatives like clean and green Pakistan, anti-encroachment drive, identical syllabus for all educational institutions, empowerment of women, minorities and other downtrodden segments and Sehat Insaf Cards for poor.

Samsam Ali Bukhari said, “We have set the direction of our nation towards the ultimate destination of progress and prosperity.” The upcoming local government system would help masses to get their problems solved at their doorsteps, he added.
