The child, Sameer, was in school uniform when he was produced in the district and sessions’ court.
The judge released the child, who is a grade-2 student, and issued summons to the police officer concerned who arrested the minor child.
Police had registered a First Information Report (FIR) against Sameer, 7, for allegedly kidnapping an adult man in Gujrat.
The law enforcers also conducted a raid in the city to arrest the accused for abducting a 30-year-old man.
