KARACHI: Two alleged target killers of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) have confessed to killing more than 50 people in Karachi, ARY News reported.
The suspects were arrested on February 23 and have been identified as Ahmed alias Zakir and Asif alias Chamber.
The senior superintendent police Malir said the target killers martyred police officials as well on directive of their London leadership.
“They martyred two policemen in 2011 at Pak Colony,” he said.
He said the culprits also confessed to extortion, supply of illegal weapons and sabotaging public property.
The SSP Malir said Ahmed revealed that a network of target killers was being operated in Karachi. While, Asif had gun fight with Lyari Gang War members on order of the party leadership, he added.

He said the culprits also confessed to killing people through torture after abducting them.
Sindh Rangers on February 25 had said the paramilitary force had arrested eight terrorists in Karachi affiliated with a political party.
Addressing a presser here, Colonel Faisal of Sindh Rangers had said the arrested suspects belonged to the MQM-L.
He had said a man named Saleem had formed and operating a team of target killers. He informed that seven members of the gang were still busy in criminal activities.
