The train march, which will pass through 51 cities of the country, is being led by Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Siraj-ul-Haq.
The party chief, addressing the party workers upon departure, said that the aim of the train march is to exert pressure on the rulers and to organize the nation. He demanded for an independent and empowered commission for accountability.
According to the schedule, the train march will reach Rawalpindi at approximately 01.00 pm Pakistan Standard Time today.
The party in an earlier announced schedule said that the train march will start from Peshawar on 25th May and will reach Lahore, via Rawalpindi, Jhelum and Gujranwala, under the leadership of JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq.
The march will proceed to Karachi on 26th May and will head towards Rohri via Okara and Multan. The march after a night stay at Rohri station, will reach Karachi on May 27th travelling through Nawabshah and Hyderabad.
