Life will be normal on day of PSL final, says Rana Sanaullah

LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said that the final of the Pakistan Super League is a national event and they will make full arrangements for its success.
Talking to media, the minister said life will continue as normal in Lahore on the day of the final. He said that only restaurants adjacent to the Gaddafi Stadium will be closed and no others are being forced to close down.
He dispelled the impression that a curfew will be imposed on March 5, and said that life will continue as normal, while markets and offices will be closed as it is weekend holiday.
“No offices will be closed except the restaurants next to the Gaddafi Stadium. Everything will stay normal on the day,” he said.
He said that no road will be blocked but rather traffic flows will be regulated to avoid any problems in reaching the venue.
He announced that a free shuttle service will be available from the parking lot to the stadium, while metro bus timings will be extended so that it is available after the match ends.
The minister said the decision to hold the event reflects the government’s will to grapple with the menace of terrorism and defeat it.
He the government has allowed the PSL final s per the aspirations of the public who wished the return of cricket to the playgrounds of the country.
