According to details, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif and the Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held delegation-level talks in Ashgabat on Wednesday.
On the occasion, PM Sharif said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Turkmenistan.
During a joint news conference, Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan and Turkmenistan have agreed upon extending bilateral cooperation in trade, tourism and other fields.
The premier said that his government is determined for Pakistan’s growth and development and for this it is striving to maintain friendly ties with neighboring states.
President Berdimuhamedov said the two states share identical views on regional peace and stability. “Pakistan and Turkmenistan can enhance cooperation in communication, agriculture, telecommunication and other sectors,” he added.
Earlier to this, PM Nawaz Sharif and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a joint declaration by the two states.
Minister for Trade Khurram Dastagir, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, State Minister Jam Kamal, PM’s special advisor Tariq Fatmi were also accompanying the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during his visit to Turkmenistan.
