The prime minister in his condolatory statement said that Saud al-Faisal remained a well wisher of Pakistan, while his demise deprived Saudi and Pakistani people of a great leader.

He also termed Saud al-Faisal to be a ‘great friend’ of Pakistan.
Saud al-Faisal had taken over the office of Saudi foreign minister in 1975 and served the kingdom for 40 years, he was however replaced two months ago.
