KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) has claimed that it has increased its tax collection by 28 percent in the month of March 2023, ARY News reported.

According to a statement, the provincial revenue body collected Rs19.03 billion in the month of March 2023 as compared with Rs14.89 billion in the same month of the last year, showing a growth of 28 percent.

“The revenue collection during first nine months (July – March) 2022-2023 stood at Rs128.21 billion as compared with the collection of Rs104.80 billion, showing a growth of 22 percent,” it added.

Sindh Revenue Board said it was determined to achieve the assigned revenue target of Rs180 billion for the current financial year 2022-23 “despite all adverse factors such as the recent devastating floods and the overall low economic growth”.

The SRB is a semi-autonomous organization established by the Government of Sindh, Pakistan, under the Sindh Revenue Board Act, 2011.

The SRB is responsible for formulating and implementing tax policies in the province of Sindh and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. It also works towards improving tax administration and providing efficient and effective services to taxpayers.
