LAHORE: The schools of Sindh have resumed their educational activities from today (Tuesday), however, the Department for Schools Education of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have extended the duration for winter vacation.

According to a notification, the schools across Punjab would reopen on January 7 instead of January 1. On the other hand, KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also announced to extend winter vacations until January 7.

The vacations have been extended after keeping in view the prevailing cold and dry weather conditions in both the provinces.

Previously, the schools of KP and Punjab were scheduled to reopen from January 1, 2019.

All academic institutions including schools in Sindh were closed for winter vacations from December 22 to December 31, as per the provincial government’s notification.
