KUMRAT: A group of Turkish tourists visited Kumrat valley of Upper Dir and they were entirely enthralled by the natural beauty of the area, Radio Pakistan reported.
The foreigners lauded the scenic views of the area, hospitality of local people and arrangements made by the government to facilitate tourists.
Meanwhile, a number of tourists from different areas of the country are visiting Swat, Dir, Chitral, Mansehra, Kaghan and Naran to enjoy the natural scene and environment of the area.
A press release issued by Regional Police Office Malakand said about 14,500 tourists’ vehicles entered in Swat, 30,000 in Lower and Upper Dir, 11,000 in Chitral, 8,000 in Shangla and 3,000 in Buner districts to visit and enjoy the beautiful places of Malakand Division.
Lately, a large number of foreign tourists have crowded the world’s highest altitude airport of Skardu. In 2019 so far, more than 50,000 tourists have come to visit the Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
As the tourism promotion is among the preferences of the government, the sector is steadily reviving especially in the Northern areas of the country.
