LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid has advised well wishers of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif to pray for his early recovery, instead of doing frequent tweets, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters outside the Punjab Assembly building here today, the minister said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) should refrain from doing politics on former prime minister’s health.
She said Sharif is being provided with better health facilities in jail and added that his health is stable for now, “We are political rivals of Sharif not personal”, she continued.
The minister said it’s obvious that Sharif does not like the environment of jail and under immense pressure over there.
Mrs Rashid said government cannot help Nawaz Sharif in going abroad, if he wants then, he should contact the courts.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood had said the government was exercising restraint on deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s health issue.
“We are trying to provide every possible facility for Nawaz Sharif’s treatment so that it should not be conceived that we are taking any personal revenge,” Shafqat Mehmood said while talking to ARY News programme PowerPlay.
“If he wants to get himself treated abroad, he should approach the court in this regard,” he said.
