ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Maryam Aurengzeb on the seat of information and broadcast minister after Pervaiz Rasheed was sacked over ‘failing to stop’ the controversial news being termed as national security breach.
The parliamentarian Maryam Orangzaib will take oath for the ministry at President House on Tuesday. The oath taking ceremony will be administered by President Mamnoon Hussain.

Maryam is elected member of National Assembly on reserved seat for women. Earlier, she has been a member of Standing Committee of NA on Information and Broadcast.
Daughter of the prime minister, Mayram Nawaz Sharif has congratulated the minister and wished her success.
