The incident happened after the van was returning to Lahore to Murree where people had gone to spend their Eid holidays, when it went out of control and struck a tree. Four young men identified as Afzal, Mahmood, Abu Bakar and Afzal died whereas ten others were severely injured in the accident.
Rescue official reached the scene of the incident to administer medial aid and shifted the injured to District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital where they are under treatment.
All the passengers in the van were friends who had gone to Muree during the ongoing Eid holidays when the untoward incident occurred near Gujranwala.
