Bollywood’s latest flick Phantom has received much public attention already, both in India and Pakistan. Featuring Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan, the movie is about the infamous 26-11 attack that took place in India, as a result of which India and Pakistan came to war. In the movie, Saif Ali Khan states:-

“If the Americans can get Osama inside Pakistan, we can do the same.”

The trailer of the upcoming movie caused much furor in Pakistan and JuD chief Hafiz Saeed (who is also portrayed in the flick) went to court and requested the Indian movie be banned from screening in Pakistan. The situation irked Saif Ali Khan, who questioned the JuD chief’s audacity to go to court.

Saif Ali Khan said: “I find it funny. That a wanted terrorist can go to court is ridiculous.”

Saif Ali Khan also gave his reaction regarding the ban on his movie and said,”I expected it to be banned. It’s based on a real case of 26/11. Whenever films with such political background are made, things happen. So, I was not surprised at all.”

However, Saif Ali Khan was careful to make his point in the end that Hafiz Saeed did not represent the people of Pakistan. Phantom, which also features Katrina kaif, has been directed by Bajrangi Bhaijaan director Kabir Khan, who was earlier embroiled in a controversy when an Indian journalist started shouting at him during a press conference for the film.
