Ramzan, the holy month of fasting, is considered the favourite month for eating out and trying your favourite dishes at home.

Iftaar is the moment when the freshly cooked samosa, pakoras and the deeply freezed desserts grace the table for the family.

This Ramzan, we thought why not ask some celebrites as to what they consider an ideal iftaar.

Below are the responses of some of our favorite celebrities.

Bushra Ansari

Bushra Ansari likes to keep it simple with a nice, freshly made, “fruit chaat.”

Ahmed Ali Butt

Ahmed Ali Butt says an ideal iftaar should be “light and healthy with lots of liquids and fresh juices, salads and grilled chicken but yes, sometimes, I cheat with a pakora or a samosa too.”

Well, who can refrain oneself from having a little pakora here and there in the month of Ramzan, after all.

 

Faysal Qureshi

For Faysal, an ideal iftaar would comprise of, “Channa chaat, one pakora, khajoor, water and a fruit.”

Imran Abbas

Imran lets Ramzan take the best of our strict diets.

“My ideal iftaar should be a classic one no matter if it is healthy or not”

“Ramzan is the only month which takes me out of my conscious zone of having a healthy diet with counted calories/carbs/fats etc. It’s incomplete without laal sharbat, pakoras and jalebis,” said the actor.

 

Armeena Khan

“I love a good fruit salad or homemade dahi bhalla followed by a cup of chai.”

Ali Haider

Ali Haider keeps it simple and traditional with,“Khajoor, Roohafza milk, pakoray and chai followed by fruit chaat.”

Waseem Badami

The multi-talented host needs a warm cup of the beverage most Pakistanis can’t live without to open his fast and that is, “Chai!”


Maria Memon

Maria Memon not being a fried food fan opens her fast with fruit chaat.

“I break my fast with water and fruit chat then directly take dinner. Skipping the calorie laden samosa/pakora guilt trip.”

Oh, how we wish we had as much control on our guilty craving as Maria does!
