KARACHI: Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Saeed on Wednesday adopted a homeless child of the Footpath School in Karachi.
DG Ranger instructed officials to visit the Footpath School located under the Clifton flyover near the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi on the occassion of the Defence Day of Pakistan.
Rangers Wing Commander Lt Col Taufiq Umer visited the school and adopted a poor homeless child . He interacted with the under-privileged children seeking education at the footpath.
General Muhammad Saeed adopted four-year-old Ghulam Mustafa and agreed to bear his educational and living expenses of his family. He also agreed to provide a house to his family and employment in the Rangers to the father of the child.
He also asked for the list of deserving homeless children so that the Rangers can help them. The commander also instructed his staff to provide additional security to the school.
The homeless family of the child have spent their lives on the footpath, and the child was also studying at the Footpath School run by the Ocean social welfare organisation.
